As the chip shortage continues, Ford is using their available semiconductor chips to produce new and profitable products while offering increasing incentives on brand new, out-of-stock-vehicle reservations and orders. At the same time, Ford is raising prices on eleven popular models and cutting nearly every rebate it currently offers on new inventory. The automaker said that the shift is intended to simplify incentive programs based on dealership feedback. Ford’s new program is centered around a trade-in assistance incentive, which provides additional offers on qualified trade-ins towards the 2021 Ford F-150, Ranger, Mustang, Expedition, Edge, Explorer, Bronco Sport, Escape, and EcoSport models.
